If you are in a position of power, you are happy.
I kind of disagree with this statement considering that even if you are in a position of power such as king or queen or maybe even president you aren't always happy. Most of the time some people are too stressed or overwhelmed and they can't enjoy themselves or they just don't know what they have at hand and forget to fulfill their opportunity to the best of their abilities. Also some people are usually not grateful for what they have and they just don't appreciate the good or the power that they have at hand.
In Macbeth: Macbeth knew he was going to be powerful and knew he was going to be king because of the witches previous fortunes coming rue he still went out and killed people or rulers ahead of him to make his power come quicker?
Women are more compassionate and less violent than men.
I definitely have to strongly disagree with this statement considering the comparison with Macbeth but I honestly think it kind of has to depend on the person and like how they were raised and where they grew up to measure how compassionate they are. Because people with more compassionate parents and friends are more likely to be more compassionate towards situations themselves in comparison to people with less tolerable friends and strict parents. They are probably going to be less compassionate and tolerable of small things.
In Macbeth: Obviously this statement is false in Macbeth considering that Lady Macbeth was the one that persuaded her husband to kill people and rulers so his position as king could come quicker. She even thought that Macbeth was too kind and soft which is hard to believe considering that Macbeth was just praised for killing the most people in battle.

I did my response on your first statement choice as well. I completely agree with how people in charge become stressed and overwhelmed. I also agree with your opinion of the second statement. I believe that you can learn compassion from people you're with. And in Macbeth, Lady Macbeth was the overall "man" in the relationship and did not have compassion when wanting to kill the king.
ReplyDeleteHey Jamiee. I agree with both of your opinions on the statements. In your second opinion, you said that you think that it really depends on the person; I could not agree with this more. This statements are a bit stereotypical in my opinion.
ReplyDeletehey boo, but i agree with you on you're second quote with women being compassionate and less violent since lady macbeth is so aggressive.
ReplyDelete- this is azzie
These are 2 very interesting statements and I really liked how you looked at them then analyzed them! Great Job!
